Engineers' Handbook

This is a reference publication that provides essential background knowledge for service and repair on both touring caravans and motorhomes. The Handbook has been produced to accompany the written aspect of the City & Guilds examination in Caravan Service Engineering, however it also provides everyday reference material for workshop engineers.

Section 1

Introduction and Syllabus to the City & Guilds Certificate in Caravan Engineering.

Section 2

Provides background study material specifically for the exam, including:

  • British & European Standards
  • Gas
  • Damp testing
  • Health & Safety
  • Water Systems
  • Chassis
  • Electricity
  • Water
  • Wheels & Tyres

Section 3

Section 3 examines the material on health & safety, and provides information on customer care, first aid, working as a team and the Approved Workshop Scheme. All these things are important to service engineers, but not examined within the City & Guilds qualification.
