Employers

The ActivePassport provides employers with an easy method of maintaining training records, verifies applicant's skills in a recruitment process and provides a reminder when employees qualifications need updating such as first aid, life guarding or food hygiene.

Essential industry qualifications such as the National Certificate in Park Management, NVQs, ACS and Electrical Competence qualifications can only be verified on the passport by CITO. This means employers can guarantee that staff possess the correct skills as required by the industry and by law.

The ActivePassport allows employers and park managers to identify when training will be required, giving time to prepare training budgets and arrange workloads and course bookings accordingly.

Digital Training records are being encouraged by the Government. The ActivePassport provides extra protection for employers against litigation for non-compliance. Demonstrates best practice in maintaining training records, potentially helping to reduce insurance premiums.

Businesses will be able to administer passports for their own employees becoming verifiers of identity and non CITO awarded training.  As an employer the business will be able to use the ActivePassport as an HR tool. Several businesses already using the scheme also use the credit-card size ID card as part of their employees name badge.

Cost

Passports are available to buy as five yearly renewable or lifetime issue. Caravan Industry Training is currently supporting the industry to start using the passports by including passports within some training courses and subsidising their purchase in other instances. We are able to provide the ActivePassport at a substantially subsidised rate of £35+VAT per passport (RRP £100).
